Lorraine was admitted as a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives in 2004. She has over 27 years experience in the law and has specialised in property since 1998. She joined MCP in 2001 and is a Partner.
Lorraine has extensive experience in dealing with residential property transactions in both freehold and leasehold titles, including sales, purchases, transfers of equity, new plots and remortgages, buy to let schemes and adverse possession. She can handle both registered and unregistered land transactions.
Lorraine will deal with property transactions no matter how big or small, for example purchases of garden land for a few hundred pound to purchases for millions of pounds. She also deals with complex issues such as identifying and correcting lack of relevant rights for properties, including those where there is no apparent right to access the property and even one where the deeds were destroyed by enemy action !
Lorraine makes a point of communicating with her clients in a friendly and straightforward way, using plain English rather than legal jargon so that they always understand what is happening.
Lorraine's other responsibilities in the firm are ensuring that the firm is on all relevant Lenders Panels and Conveyancing Quality Scheme compliancy.
