Amy qualified as a solicitor in 2009 and joined MCP when Pooley, Bendall and Watson merged with them in April 2020.
Amy's career started as a paralegal, and following qualification as a solicitor she managed the Private Client department at a local firm of solicitors before moving to Pooley, Bendall and Watson.
Amy has considerable experience in drafting Wills, including more complicated ones with asset protection (trust) clauses and options to purchase. She also has considerable experience in drafting Lasting Powers of Attorney and making Deputyship applications.
Amy handles the administration of all levels of Estate, from the most simple to those which attract an Inheritance Tax liability and she is confident in applying business and agricultural reliefs where applicable. She is also happy to work alongside legal representatives from foreign countries where the deceased was domiciled outside the UK with UK assets or had assets in a different jurisdiction.
