Sarah Gregory and Amy Browning from the Probate Department at our Thetford office have won the County Practices Best Overall Performance Winner’s award at the 2018/19 St Nicholas Hospice Wilfred Awards on 28th March.

These awards are for those firms and legal advisors who participated in the 2018/19 Wills Week campaign to raise money for the hospice. The money raised overall broke the previous record set during the 2017/18 campaign. During the campaign participating firms prepare Wills for no charge and clients are encouraged to donate to the hospice instead.

The 2018/19 Wilfred Awards evening was held in Bury St Edmunds and is the St Nicholas Hospice equivalent of the Oscars where firms which have achieved particular success during the year’s Wills Week campaign are recognised by the presentation of certificates and highly coveted trophies known as The Wilfreds.

Through Sarah and Amy’s hard work MCP raised donations of £4,893. The money raised by firms who participate enable St Nicholas Hospice to offer free of charge care to people of West Suffolk and Thetford.

MCP are enthusiastic supporters of the hospice and later this year Sarah is also raising money for the hospice by a parachute jump, see our news article about that here.
