Advance Decisions / Living Wills

A Living Will is a statement expressing your views on how you would or would not like to be treated if you are unable to make decisions about your treatment yourself at the relevant time in the future.

While Living Wills can still be made, it is often better to use a Personal Welfare Lasting Power of Attorney. This way you can state the same things you would put in a Living Will, but also include more detail. For example, you could make more minor decisions, such as your dress and daily routine or appoint different people to deal with different decisions.
