Alison joined MCP Solicitors as a trainee solicitor in 1988 and is now the Managing Partner of the King's Lynn Office.
She is Head of the Criminal Law Team which she has established as one of the largest in the Region. Her team was listed in last years Legal 500 as "one of the most thorough and capable in the region". She is a Higher Court Advocate and specialises in criminal defence work. Alison has again been mentioned in the current Legal 500 "Metcalfe Copeman & Pettefar is noted for the regulatory law experience of Alison Muir, which attracts national clients". Her responsibilities in the firm include Chairing the firm's Budget Committee, training of qualified staff and recruitment and training of trainee solicitors. As part of this role Alison Muir has been appointed by the College of Law as a Mentor for trainee solicitors.
Alison Muir is Administrator of the King's Lynn and West Norfolk Duty Solicitor Committee, Chairman of the Regional Duty Solicitor Committee, Criminal Litigation representative of the local Law Society, Regional representative of the Criminal Law Solicitors Association and National Executive Committee of the Association of Women Solicitors.
